ABOUT PLEASANT VIEW GRANGE #1459
Pleasant View Grange #1459 in Ozawkie, Kansas, has been a cornerstone of the community since its charter on March 8, 1908. Founded on land donated by the Steffey family, the original building served the Grange until the early 2000s, when upkeep challenges led to the move meetings to a different location. Currently Pleasant View meets at the Ozawkie Township Community Center, where meetings are held on the fourth Thursday of each month. The Steffey family remains deeply involved, with current President Molly Newman representing the fifth generation of Steffey Grange members.
Our Grange embodies the principles of Faith, Family, Patriotism, and Activism, engaging in numerous community service projects and continually seeking new ways to give back to Ozawkie.

Our Grange extends its service beyond Ozawkie into Jefferson County, supporting local communities through various projects. Our "Words for Thirds" initiative provides dictionaries to third-grade students in the Jefferson West (Meriden-Ozawkie), and Oskaloosa school districts. We also engage in additional service projects throughout Jefferson County. .
